Source by project
Flexible workspace is bought on the assumption that the layout will change. Teams grow, contracts shorten, a floor sold as open plan becomes six team rooms. Material that can only be installed once quietly makes every future change expensive.
Reconfigurable furniture, demountable partitions and booking technology for layouts that move.
Positioning
We favour demountable and modular systems — partition frames that can be relocated without replacing glass, desks that reconfigure without new components, power distribution that moves with the furniture rather than being cast into the slab.
Technology is treated as part of the fit-out: room booking, occupancy sensing, access control and AV are specified together so a reconfigured floor does not need a second technology project six months later.
Priority categories
How we run it
Two or three likely future layouts are drawn before purchase, and each category is tested against them so the buy survives the first reconfiguration.
Systems are selected for relocatability and component availability, with the cost of a future move-and-refit quoted at the time of purchase.
Power, data, lighting and sprinkler layouts are set on a grid so partitions can move without rewiring the floor.
Booking, access and AV systems are commissioned as one integrated layer with documented configuration, not as separate vendor installs.
Watch-outs
Demountable partitions only perform if the ceiling and floor junctions are detailed for it. Specify the junction, not just the panel.
A modular system is only flexible while its components are still sold. Ask for a supported-life commitment before award.
Reconfiguration fails on cabling more often than on furniture. Buy generous, accessible containment from the start.

FAQ
Relocatable frames, gasketed glass that can be removed without damage, standard module widths and a ceiling and floor junction detailed for reuse. Without those, a system marketed as demountable is scrap on the first move.
